The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) has developed this tool — the global directory — as part of its efforts to strengthen the partnership of statistical actors. Among its key activities, PARIS21 facilitates the co-ordination of stakeholders to better address an evolving agenda, and the directory — along with its sister publication, the annual Partner Report on the Support to Statistics (PRESS) — is an integral part of this work.

This new version of the directory gives updated information on over 100 development partners, setting out summary information on each partner’s overall goals and objectives, their main areas of intervention, with a special focus on statistical capacity development. The partners are divided into six categories; Bilateral, Multilaterals, Africa, Asia and Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean and Other partners. Key people and their contact information are included at the bottom of each partner sheet. This site has been developed by PARIS21 to facilitate communication and collaboration between actors for better statistics. New partners will be added as information is received and validated.

The online version replaces the 2009 hard-copy version.
